Well, we lost.
But, I was reminded of a quote from George E. Woodberry: “Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure.”
I would like to thank my supporters, donors, and volunteers for allowing me to run a solid, positive campaign that focused on experience, leadership, and issues.
We formed a campaign that brought together community leaders, business owners, and elected officials from diverse backgrounds and beliefs with one goal in common – strong schools in Salem-Keizer.
For the past year, I have been campaigning continuously for the Salem-Keizer School bond measure and for School Board. I’m proud that our community’s success will be safe and healthy schools for our kids and teachers with room to learn.
We now look to our newly elected and current School Board Directors to uphold our promise of a first class education to our kids so that they can go on to college and the workplace.
We look to them for leadership in managing our tax dollars wisely, protecting the classroom, where those dollars do the most good.
Most importantly, we look to our kids in which our community looks to for a better future. Let’s not only give them the resources they need to succeed, but also the inspiration to want to succeed.
Thank you for your support and trust in me. I hope to continue serving our community to the best of my ability.
